Bethesda Ohio

Bethesda was incorporated as a village in 1910. It is located in the heart of Belmont County, Ohio and has approximately 1400 residents. The Village is home to Epworth Park and the annual Chautauqua Homecoming in July.

Starting January 2023, the cost of the shelter rentals will be going to $65. This goes into effect for all 2023 rentals that have not previously been paid for. 


To make a reservation, please call (740) 484-1566 during normal business hours.


Bethesda offers the following locations for rent:


Bethesda Community Room - Cost: $25 per hour

Has a fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms, and back deck. Tables and chairs are provided.


Park Shelter 1 - Cost: $65 per day

Judy Jenewein Shelter
Our large shelter. Has electricity and water. Located beside the playground.


Park Shelter 2 - Cost: $65 per day

Pat French Shelter
Our smaller shelter. Has water and electricity. Located below the ball fields near the lake.


Park Shelter 3 - Cost: $65 per day

Our newest shelter. Has power and water. Located on the North side of the park by the volleyball net.



There will be an “excessive water usage” charge of $20 for each rental that has slip and slides, and inflatables that use water.
